Juneteenth (Freedom Day): This Sunday is Juneteenth, short for June Nineteenth, and commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas to read aloud a general order declaring the remaining 250,000 enslaved African Americans in Confederate states—two years
after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed—were free.
Juneteenth has long been celebrated in the African American community and is a time to gather as a family, reflect on the past, and look to the future.

BACCHUS: PREAKNESS 2023 (May 20th)
Get Ready for the Races at Pimlico this weekend with an Black-Eyed Susan, the official cocktail at Preakness. Try it with McClintock Epiphany Vodka (made in MD) or Rock Town Vodka.

Cocktail Recipe:
1 1/2 oz - McClintock Epiphany Vodka or Rock Town Vodka
1/2 oz - Rock Town Craft Cordial Elderflower
2 oz - Pineapple Juice
1/4 oz - Lime Juice
3/4 oz - Orange Juice

Shake and pour into a Riedel glass. Garnish with a fresh
orange slice and Maraschino cherry. Enjoy!
